The Philippines Mission

October–December 2026

Every kid deserves the tools to believe in themselves.

This fall/winter, Empowered Youth Collective is bringing hands-on mindset and empowerment workshops to kids and families across the Philippines, starting in Metro Manila.

Many communities don't have access to the kinds of resources that help kids build confidence, handle challenges, and dream bigger. We want to change that, one workshop at a time.

From October to December, I'll be leading interactive workshops for kids and parents around the Philippines. Each one is child-led, engaging, and built so families can keep the tools going at home.

WHERE YOUR SUPPORT GOES

  • Workshop materials and take-home toolkits for every child

  • Tickets, so families who couldn't otherwise attend get a seat

  • Bringing workshops to communities with little access to resources like these

THE BIGGER VISION
The Philippines is just the start. EYC is growing into a global movement that brings mindset, empowerment, and entrepreneurship tools to kids and families everywhere. Your support now helps build that foundation.

What is Empowered Youth Collective?

1:1 Coaching for the Kids + Parents

Bridging the Gap - For Families on Waitlists:
1:1 coaching for kids ages 5–12 who’ve been given a label like ADHD, autism, or anxiety, and the parents raising them. Private, child-led coaching built around one child and one family that fills the gap while you’re on a waitlist for speech, ABA, PT, or OT, and keeps supporting you alongside those services once they begin. Sessions are tailored to what your child is working through right now, with age-specific tools and support between sessions, so parents aren’t guessing alone in the meantime.

Who It’s For:
Parents who are on a waitlist — for ABA, PT, OT, speech, or all of the above — and know they can’t just sit and wait while their kid struggles today. You’ve tried the books, the forums, the TikTok advice, and you know what your family actually needs is something built specifically for you, not general tools or a “just hang in there.”

What Changes:

  • You know exactly how to respond during a meltdown — instead of freezing, guessing, or making it worse, while you wait for services to start.

  • Your child starts speaking up when something’s wrong instead of shutting down — asking a friend to play, telling a teacher they need a break, asking you for help instead of waiting for you to notice.

  • You’re not just waiting anymore — you and your child are building real skills and real tools during the gap, so when your ABA/PT/OT/speech services finally start, you’re not starting from zero.

The Empowered Kid Program:
1:1 coaching for kids ages 5–12 who are ready to grow. Private, child-led sessions that build confidence, mindset, and everyday life skills, so your child has the tools to handle friendships, setbacks, and big transitions before those moments get hard. Parents get practical tools and support between sessions, so what your child learns shows up at home and at school too.

EYC Online Community + Group Coaching

EYC’s Beyond the Label (Ages 8-12):
A small-group space for kids ages 8–12 who’ve been given a label like ADHD, autism, or anxiety, and are ready to show the world who they are beyond it. Kids learn confidence, mindset, and life skills alongside peers who get it. Members join one live 60-minute group lesson each month, where they learn a new tool and practice it together at their own pace, with no pressure to perform or keep up.

Community Workshops

Interactive, child-led workshops for kids and parents, held in person. Families learn emotion regulation, social-emotional skills, empowerment, mindset, and entrepreneurship side by side through hands-on activities, and leave with tools they can use at home the same day.

Workshops begin in the Philippines this October to December. To reach more families, EYC partners with NGOs and nonprofit organizations to bring workshops into the communities they already serve. The goal is to keep bringing these workshops to more communities around the world, so every family gets the chance to build these skills together.

Wired differently, built to thrive. Child-led tools that help kids with ADHD, ASD, and anxiety turn empowerment into confidence.

Your Coach

MJ Cruz holds a Master's degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and completed 2,000 hours of supervised practicum and fieldwork as part of that training. She spent 8 years working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), a Program Manager that oversaw other RBT’s within the past 2 years, and over the past decade, has worked directly with more than 100 families, sitting alongside kids and parents through the real, day-to-day lives of ADHD, autism, and anxiety. That work included time alongside occupational, physical, and speech therapy teams across multiple settings, giving her a cross-disciplinary view of how kids are supported beyond behavioral work alone. Along the way, she's also taught English and life skills to children around the world, work that sharpened her ability to connect with kids across ages, cultures, and communication styles. That background, plus training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), is what shapes how she coaches today. EYC is a coaching practice, not a clinical or licensed service.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT EYC

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT EYC

“MJ with Empowered Youth Collective was patient and kind with our children. Her skills and expertise really shine during each session and their social skills have improved greatly in all types of situations. I highly recommend booking MJ for a 1:1 coaching session!”

-SHARLENE G.

“MJ worked with my son for over a year. When she first started, he had no words. By the time we finished working with her, he had developed many words and phrases. Unfortunately, we had to stop because our services through the Regional Center ended, and we decided to continue with the school route. However, I truly believe MJ made a significant difference in his speech and communication. MJ is kind, patient, professional, and genuinely loves what she does. She truly cares about the children and families she works with. I am so grateful for everything she did for my son, and I highly recommend her to any family looking for a dedicated and compassionate life coach for kids. Thank you, MJ!”
